"Sunday in the Park with George" is a musical about Georges Seurat, the father of pointillism, and his dedication to art in 1884 Paris. The story also follows his lover, Dot, who eventually leaves him for a baker. In 1984, their great-grandson, also named George, faces his own creative block. The musical explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of perfection in the creative process.
For this production, I also served as the paint charge and as an additional props artisan, creating many of the drawings, paintings, and specialty props. I also led my Stagecraft class in creating the many needed prop drinks and food for the show.
