Anonymous is the story of many, and the story of nobody. In this retelling of Homer’s The Odyssey, an immigrant child known only as Anon encounters dangers, specters, politicians, and other dangers of the American Dream as he seeks to be reconnected with his mother, who believes him to be dead.
Director Ruben Carazzana wanted this play to feel like the patchwork of the immigrant experience, bringing in aspects of many cultures and experiences to create “Anonymous”, a symbolic character embodied by immigrant children in American throughout the years.
For this production, I also served as the paint charge and as an additional props artisan, creating the surfboard, wooden swords, and additional properties for student props designer Leslie Evanko.
